Linen Care
"If linen are well looked after, they will last you for years".
General care instructions
  • Always read the washing instructions on the label.
  • Unless otherwise specified, always wash colored tablecloths in cold water.
  • For the first wash, separate colored items.
  • White tablecloths can be washed in hot water, but in warm is usually sufficient.
  • Treat a stain as quickly as possible to prevent it from hardening as it dries, a little soap and water are usually enough.
  • If your tablecloth has stains, wash it right away after usage. Don't wait for the weekly wash, the stain will have set in.
  • A slight skrinkage of about 4% to 6% is normal after the first wash.
  • Do not tumble-dry. Just spin and hang out to dry. This will ensure that your linen last longer and don't lose their shape,
  • 100% cotton should be iron with a hot iron while slightly damp.

Note : These instructions do not apply to the acrylic coated tablecloths.

Care for acrylic coated tablecloths

  • Simply use a little sponge and mild dishwashing detergent to wipe the tablecloth clean, make sure that nothing sticky is left on the cloth.
  • Let the tablecloth dry or wipe it dry before storing away.
  • Treated tablecloth can be machine washed in cold water with mild detergent.
  • Never use bleach, solvent or stain remover.
  • Tumble dry low heat
  • Iron the wrong side of the tablecloth (the cotton side), this will get rid of wrinkles and reactivate the acrylic

Tips
Removing red wine stains

Soak up the spilled wine as quickly as possible with paper towel or a white cloth. Wash your tablecloth as soon as possible after the meal or if not possible let it soak in cold water in the meantime.

You can also simply use a new product called "Wine Away". Wine Away effectively removes most red wine stains from fabrics and carpets. To learn more about this product and to order it, visit www.wineaway.com

Soft linen and bright colors

To keep linen soft and the colors bright, add two tablespoons of white vinegar to the rising water and a few drops of essential oil of lavender or another scent of your choice.
