Lahonce

Lahonce is located 9 km east of Bayonne, the capital of the French Basque region, overlooking the river Adour and its valley. Lahonce is a small community surrounding an abbey, with a city hall, post office and an elementary school.

Sauveterre

Sauveterre or Salvaterra comes from the medieval latin, terra salva or "freeland". During the feudal times, the town's people escaped the lord's rule and answered directly to the church. Sauveterre is a charming little village in the Bearn - Pyrenées, a little medieval gem surrounded by beautiful green hills.

Bidart

Bidart is a small hill top town, south of Biarritz, along the Basque coastline. It has charm and tranquility in abundance. Beaches are found at the base of the cliffs, which are rarely crowded even in the summer. The architecture is typically Basque, white facades, red shutters & colombage timbers and red pan-tiled roofs.

Hendaye

Hendaye is located at the French border with Spain, at the edge of the Atlantic and the Pyrenees. The medieval town is situated on a hill top with views to the North & West. The beach area is located on a peninsula. That part of Hendaye is relatively modern. From the marina, you can take a ferry to the charming and typically Basque town of Hondarribia in Spain.
